How liberal/left are the UNiversity of York students?

Hi! I'm a York uni graduate.

Tbh, from my experience there was a fair mix of political views. I'm a liberal leftie myself, so I tended to hang around with a lot of other liberal lefties and was involved in a lot of liberation networks, such as LGBTQ+, the women's network and etc, so I was in a kind of bubble where it seemed like everyone was to the left.

However, outside of that kind of bubble, in halls and stuff in general you'd have a mix of political opinions on a lot of things (especially things like the economy and welfare), but overall I'd say (like most unis?) it was left leaning.
