Is Bristol Uni full of lefties and if so, are they reasonably tolerant?

Hi Guys

So, I've heard Bristol's student population has a large element of Trendy Lefty types and I'm not having a go or anything but I'm a conservative and reasonably vocal in my opinions. I just wanted to know if the people there are reasonably tolerant of people with fairly right-wing views as I'm thinking the Maths and Computer Science course might be quite interesting?

If anyone who's part of that whole scene could leave a response that'd be great, thanks.

All universities are full to the brim with liberals, unfortunately.

I suggest you seek out the university's Conservative society.

As long as you stay way from humanities and social sciences you should be fine.

Mate, all I'm asking is will someone holding other views be ostracized? I'm hoping to meet relaxed people, not people who act like little *****es at the suggestion that they might be wrong.

Disagree, if people want to truly develop their own views they need to understand the other side of the argument and change their minds or reaffirm their beliefs. I think by saying things people don't like in a non-*****sh you're doing them a favor.

So, you've heard the other side of the argument and are about to enlighten them whereas they havent? You assuming you're the one with the informed opinion?

This is why you stuck up middle class conservatives are so boring.

My Dad's an Electrician and my Mum's a hairdresser mate, you've never met me, you know nothing about me but you're having a go. What I'm saying is always listen to the other side and make up your own mind. On some things the Left are right and on some things they're wrong in my subjective opinion, I'd hope you'd do the same without prejudice, trust me, you can learn a lot from listening to others on both sides.

Well im sure you're a lovely guy but, as I said, entering a conversation and pretending that you have some sort of unspoken truth and redpill is exactly why conservatism has been rejected from the mainstream youth of today.
