The Times good university guide is often seen as the most authorative. This is the general league table (not subject specific). However, you can get the politics version by searching for politics in the search box above. It's being too slow for me: -

And this is the Guadrian's poltics league table

Generally Oxford, Cambridge, LSE and St Andrews dominante the top places in most league tables.

Please don't get sucked in by league tables too much, they don't mean everything by any means.
