Best Universities for FCO/International Organisations?

I'm applying for study Politics & International Relations (IR focus), and I'm interested in IR related careers such as roles in International Organisations, think tanks or the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

I understand that the person matters more than the university, although I'm sure some may have better links to such organisations than others. Additionally for IOs, NGOs etc., I'm sure international reputation plays a role because of the competition.

Cambridge is one of my choices, but besides from this what are some good choices? Is it necessary to go to London (i.e. UCL or LSE)? I live far away from London so I'm not sure if I'd like it there.
