Perhaps you can check out the spreadsheet to see where everyone else is applying to. Maybe you'll find other Corpus law applicants too

Yes same here! I'm just trying to focus on my studies right now to distract myself from all these uni application stuff :frown:
Oh btw did you guys write anything for the SAQ additional personal statement? I didn't write much, just mentioned a bit about which part of the course attracts me. Not sure it that's really something 'useful' to add.
Hi! I've applied to Sidney Sussex. I am applying after two gap years. As I'm an international student, I did not take A level, however, my equivalents are A* A* A.

I've been told from various sources that is exactly what they wish to see in the additional personal statement. I did the same as you did.
Anyone else here a Mature applicant?

Mine is around 900 characters. Well at least it's done now and so the waiting begins :frown:

I applied to Sidney Sussex, as they were one of the only non-mature colleges that were willing to consider my two-year-old qualifications, plus I really liked the college when I attended the open days. I also applied to Queen Mary (I really love their English and European Law degree), Warwick, UCL and KCL. What other unis did you apply to?

I wrote about civil law too, hehe. I did write close to the character limit, however, as I spoke about how civil law would help me specialise in a particular field of law, hopefully, in the near future. What college did you apply to?

I applied to St Johns - I found it really hard to choose though because I was weighing up my preference and how many apply - I should not have looked at the statistics hahah

Yeah, I guess playing th statistics game is not desirable. Anyway, many have told me that if you are up to their standards it is quite unlikely not to get in to one of the colleges (be it the one you applied to or the one that pooled you). So I would not worry.

Yeah they only choose the best applicants. That's what the pooling system is for. But I guess applying to a more popular college will have a higher risk of being pooled to a less popular college, though at the end of the day you are still at Cambridge  (and I heard that everyone ends up loving the college they are at so I guess that shouldn't really be a big deal)

They only start sending out interview offers from mid-Nov onwards so it's still a month away from now :frown: But unlike Oxford, Cambridge interviews most of their applicants who have a realistic change of getting a place so I think it's not much to worry about right now. I'm trying to do bits of preparation every day like making sure I know what's happening in the news and training myself to write essays more frequently etc It's kind of a good way to distract myself from this long wait

Sidney is beautiful! It is one of the colleges that I've considered applying to  I've also applied to LSE, UCL, Warwick and Manchester! Have you taken the LNAT yet?
