Didn't even catch that seal pup once ughh

Also, they were really trying to catch us out with some of those multiple choice questions. Such as the one about inheritance controlled by more than one gene, a lot of people I spoke to put polygenic, because they didn’t realise that it was asking for the type of variation, and for the seal pup population one, most people saw that it was going up by 1.8 million each time, so just added on 1.8 million and didn’t realise that between 2016 and 2020, 1.8 million would be added on twice.

Hello,
Not sure if correct I simply stated
-pancreas would detect a decrease in blood glucose
-pancreas would sercrete glucagon into the blood stream
-glucagon is a hormone that activates the enzyme in the liver which converts glycogen into gluecose
-liver releases glucose into the blood stream

for the one about the least effective enzyme I put amylase because I didn't think water was an enzyme. What did everyone else get?

I was confused by that as well, I put water just because the question said something like the pupil tested different enzymes. I'm second guessing all my answers now

I personally found it slightly easier, but I am thinking that I will have made silly mistakes (eg confusing glucagon and glycogen, putting polygenic for that variation question)

I think I was one of the only people in my hall that knew the water/enzymes question was a trick. I saw it said “enzyme” and my thought was “wait, water isn’t an enzyme. That’s a bit slimy of you SQA!”
