How to cope with no friends in classes

I'm in year 9, school ends on July 19th and I cant stand my current friends so I basically want to cut them off and stop talking to them because they're so horrible and controlling. if I did, i would have nobody to be partners with in my classes and when the teacher says "pick a partner/group" I'll just be alone. I dont like anyone else in my classes too so cant make friends. should I deal with them until the summer holidays or cut them off and be lonely?
Can't you hang around or be in partners with the other people in your class who are not your friends?

How frequently does your teacher say pick a partner?
I dont think it's that often
So yeah, I think you should cut them off
Toxic people are a threat to the soul...
Besides pleasing people to your own discomfort is something you should avoid
eh. i did that. i dont regret it. just do what makes you feel better
I'd stay away from them, those types of friends are just mood killers and aren't actually your friends if they treat you like ****. I'd say over a small period of time start socialising with other people in your class, then slowly transition into hanging out with them, to avoid being lonely for a little while.

what do I do when teachers ask us to partner up?
Go to clubs or any enrichment activities and find new people to hang out with
You can make friends with people in the same year as you but not in your classes as well you know
What about the people in your form class?

I suggest that you cut your 'friends' out of your life. I was in the same position as you. You should do it before it is too late. They will start using you and talk behind your back.

thanks. I have friends outside my classes but I just hate it when everyone else has a partner and I'd just be sitting there awkwardly
Is there anyone sitting next to/near you that you like or are fine with?
You could ask them

There are probably at least 200 year nines in your school. Meet some new ones outside of your classes. Go to school clubs, break and lunchtimes to find them. Exchange numbers . Be a kind friend. Then your actual classes wont bother you much; you go there to work hard and leave. Your teacher will direct your class but you will need to be strong and not care what annoying students in your class think. Just work as best you can and then go.

I had to cut off my 'friends' in year 10 and it was honestly the best thing I could have done. It's better to have no company than bad company.

Yo! I've always said this!!! I fell down a badddd road since my teen years and definitely started telling myself your exact words when I was 19. Of course it's easier said then done. :colonhash:
