universal credit advance payment help??

I have been on uc for exactly 1 month. At the time of signing on i took an advance payment, which i chose to pay back in 3 instalments. I havent found a job, but being on uc and having to go every week is becoming really stressful for me. Thus far, a third of it has been paid back. //if i sign off, how do i pay back the remainder of the advance payment? my work coach said that some people are not asked for it back. //what happens to someone who has spent all their money and signed off prior to paying it back and still without a job?? i just don't understand. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you close your claim to UC whilst owing an advance your debt will be passed on to DWP debt recovery who will contact you to set up a repayment plan
