Field（wild） safety

Sorry for my English, I don`t know whether to say "field" or "wild" to mean very far away from human living place(such as deep in mountain etc).

I heard a bad news, 2 girl students for master degree and 1 female professor died in flood in a mountain. Earlier to this, one girl university students died when she climbed a mountain.

I wonder if we can do something to improve Field safety, and to avoid these incidents.
Anyone has ideas?（especially university students who learn geology）

Field seems to be the right word in context. But I don’t do geology or know much about it so you might want another opinion.

When students and lecturers go out to study geology, it's referred to as being 'in the field', so field sounds right in this context :smile:
