Any Europa/The Lantern experiences? Which should I choose?

I am choosing between living in Europa or The Lantern accommodation, but I’ve heard that there has been issues with security in the past. As an international student, I can not visit before the lease starts, so I appreciate any advice you can give! I’d prefer a social hall that has postgraduate/mature students like me. I’d also prefer it being fairly quiet after midnight, and I want to feel safe walking to and from the hall at night.
