Whatsapp advice
This is indirectly related to relationships and I was hoping someone may know the answer ...
I added a phone number to my phone to look at who it was on whatsapp. Fine, a photo came up! Then someone else (who has the contact saved in their phone) looked to see who it was on whatsapp and it said 'invite to whatsapp'... is there any reason why it would show on one device but not the other. I have tried googling but can't find anything

maybe you had a different number...probably mistyped it
that would sound like the reasonable explanation except I copied the number from a message which referred to using whatsapp so makes even less sense that the number on the other phone didnt have whatsapp
