Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

Can an engineering degree help you with anything else accept from being an engineer

I’m currently in yr10 and studying Engineering BTEC. When it came to options i loved DT and design and was stuck between engineering and Product design. I eventually picked engineering because on the info sheet it was practically the same but engineering came better with employment. I am still confused though! I don’t want to be an engineer. I’m interested in architecture, and other design jobs like industrial/interior/media. I have would like to have picked more artsy things but i didn’t pick art because i thought it would be stressful. My question is can you study these things with engineering because it is design just at a higher level, and still in that DT field. If anyone can answer this it would be much appreciated
