Second Year Uni Accommodation Bills

I'm moving into my second year house (university) in July and have decided to organise bills independently from a company as it seems significantly cheaper. I need to organise gas/electric, water, wifi and TV license and was wondering when this needs to be done. If I move in July 1st, how far in advance should I have organised these bills with companies. Thanks.

Can't do any until you officially are a tenant of the property
So 1st July would be when you can do it all
