I went to the dentist about 2 years ago. They sent me a private letter I think. I'm not sure if that means I have to pay or what. I thought as having my teeth forward that I would be seen quicker. Now I'm 17 and Im not sure if I would be able to get braces. Please someone help. I feel so insecure.

Don't have any practical advice, but just wanted to say don't let the state of your teeth get you down. All the best people have had braces, even the Queen!
If you are under 18 and you need braces, you can get them on the NHS free.
