If you consider Chester then consider places like Lincoln and Huddersfield Uni.
Chester is ok as a city, but touristy, but also quite small.

Personally, I’ve found private accommodation is best if you can afford it. I stayed in University owned my first year and really noticed the difference in quality when I swapped to a private company in second year. There’s still the option to stay in flats etc. so you don’t have to worry about missing out on that aspect at all.

Really friendly University with very supportive staff. Close to the city centre with good shopping and decent bars. It’s quite small but that’s useful for getting between places quickly. What campus are you on?

I’m main campus too. What do you need help with? Are you after an alternative university owned accommodation or looking towards the private sector? (Student Roost and Fresh Student Living are the private accommodation providers which offer shared flats or studios)
