marxist subcultural theories in crime and deviance

hi, so this is for ocr sociology a level and i'm just kind of confused on whether it is traditional marxists or neo-marxists who believe that subcultures are a factor in why crime is committed?
because i watched a video saying that neo-marxists reject this theory that the marxists have. but in class, i have been told that it is the neo-marxists who have the subcultural theories and not the traditional??
unless they both believe in it but to different extents?

anyways yeah, any help would be appreciated!
