What can you learn about a person by merely observing them?

Sherlock Holmes had a knack for making observations about individuals by looking at small details. In reality, you can learn someone's marital status by looking at their ring, or whether they are right or left handed by how they hold cutlery/the hand they use to pick up most things eg their phone, a cup.

I was wondering whether you guys could think of anything else you could learn about a person just by observing them or listening to them speak?

Their accent, body language, what languages they communicate in, sometimes appearance & fashion sense can provide an indication of personality/hobbies/involvement in activism-politics-fringe groups and sometimes employment role/the type of work that they do.
