Gaming laptop or Gaming desktop?

Hi everyone I don't know if I should get a Gaming PC or I should get a Gaming laptop (going to coffee shops, going to nans, friends houses, school work. Etc) however if I get a gaming PC I get better performance, more upgrade ability for parts and use my existing laptop to connect to my Gaming PC at home via steam remote play, however I would have to leave my PC on at home which could be dangerous in case my PC catches fire and burns my hole house down followed by all my data and a 10TB home server.

So I am not sure what to get so I am asking for peoples opinions.

I mean you can get much higher value than a MacBook with that amount of money.

If I was you, I’d just go for a laptop for the practicality.

I was thinking maybe repairing a Asus predator 300 I think that I found on eBay for £52.97

gamming pc ofcourse because you can upgrade it later.laptops alse have a heating problem.
if your are a college student and you want to do college work with gamming then you'll have to buy a laptop
