laptop for uni?

im (hopefully) going to start at newcastle uni next september on an architecture course.

im thinking right now, do i need to start saving for a laptop that will be able to run all of these programs that 3d modelling and design will require? or will the university help fund these either by having good laptops/computers on campus or giving financial help to afford these (im from a low income household, theyre aware of this)

any ideas or help?

Most universities will have on campus PCs if you need. Some students choose to access design tools on their own pc’s. If you go down the personal use option, best value-for-money is by desktop computers which is less practical then a laptop for general PC & university work.

if you can’t afford it they should have access on campus, some universities may allow for Remote Desktop connections onto pc’s with specialist software but this is some not all.
