Can you live in halls in the city you’re from?

I want to move out for uni, but I also know that I want to go to do law at either Edinburgh uni or Glasgow uni. I live in Glasgow though so if I choose to go there I would be commuting every day which I don’t want to do (as well as missing out on independence etc)

If I go to Glasgow uni and apply for halls, will they reject me because I live in Glasgow already??

Not necessarily, but they will prioritise other people over you most likely. There's plenty of halls though, so I doubt all of them will reject you
