What’s the saddest book you’ve ever read

What book is one that made you absolutely break down and sob at the end.

Ive cried a fair amount of tears over some books, but not sobbed.

My favourite romantic tragedy has to be the song of Achilles!

I guess that chemistry was not your favorite subject at school. :teehee:

Never cried, but partly in a sad mood by reading Questions And Answers.
An inspiring and sad book at the same time that I read is the Gadfly by Ethel Lilian Voynich. Once my father recommended this book to me and I liked it so much after reading that I wrote a short article about it with the help of EduBirdie. After that, I re-read this book several times and it is definitely my favorite.
