So are we always going to have different political ideologies such as communism, liberalism, fascism, conservativism etc or are we going to enter a period where these things no longer really matter?
It would probably be worth mentioning Fukayamas thesis on "the end of history"
In which he famously outlined that with the collapse of the USSR, basically the world would inevitably become liberal democracies and that other modes of government would gradually become obsolete..
He has since rejected this thesis.
