Can you get into uni with grades below the requirements?

I want to apply to dentistry, but I just got my grades back and I have:

Chem: predicted A
Physics: predicted A
Biology: predicted A

My UCAT -
VR - 640
DM - 760
QR - 700
AR - 720
Total - 2820
SJT - Band 3

I have a lot of work experience and a high number for my UCAS application.

I would have liked to go to KCL (A*, A, A), Cardiff(A, A, A), Bristol (A, A, A), Plymouth (A, A, A). Please could you let me know if I still have a chance?

If you're not eligible for contextual offers then there are no dental schools you can apply for. Due to the competitiveness of the degree you will be rejected pre-interview with AAB. If you can raise your chemistry grade to an A you would have a lot more choices. I also can't give you any suggestions without your GCSE's.

If youre really set on doing dentistry speak to your chemistry teacher and prove youre capable of the A, do extra work and maybe redo some tests you havent done so well in.

It might be sensible to have one uni with lower requirements.

I know people regularly get into kings with grades below but dentistry is probably the exception as one of their best courses. Amazed that Plymouth and Cardiff are asking for AAA though lmao.

Anyway, try and get predicted the grades you need as dentistry is competitive.

Thank you, I don't think there are any dentistry unis that have grades below AAA unless they're contextual offers, I'm pretty sure it's more based on UCAT and personal statement.

Sorry, I should change it, I managed to get an A prediction in Chem

Yep, thankfully

You should swap KCL for Newcastle/Sheffield/Manchester as dental schools will reject people who are below minimum A-level requirements.
