My daughter is desperate to change rooms due to external noise issues and lack of privacy. She doesn’t want a quiet room just a quieter area. Any idea of likelihood of being able to change and timescale?

How do I find flatmates for second year accommodation?

How do I find flatmates for second year accommodation?

Hello,

Students typically find flatmates from many places and parts of their University life. Some continue to live with first year accommodation flatmates, some live with course mates, others live with sports or society teammates and friends, others live with friends of friends, etc. The list is by no means exhaustive.

The Bath Students Union also holds flatmate finder events for any students looking to meet new people or others to live with.

Again, this list is not exhaustive and students find flatmates in many different ways.

I hope this helps and please just ask if you have any other questions.

Hi 👋
I am a mature student hoping to start an undergraduate course 2022 🤞
Can I apply for a postgraduates accommodation?
I would ideally like to be living with people who are close to my age : )

It isnt subject specific - its just 'PG' - so just look at the options via the link in the post above.

Hi there!

Post graduate students can apply for the student accomodation options listed here. Polden is the option which is available on campus.

Hope this helps - please let me know if you have anymore questions!

I really like the look of the off campus ones for first year. Does this mean i will miss out on social stuff because i’m not on campus?

Hi,

Thank you for your question. In short, no you will not be missing out on social stuff.

Firstly, the off campus accommodation is very close to bus stops that cover the University bus route. The University bus service is 24/7 and frequent, so it's easy to access campus for socials. Secondly, approximately 950 first year students live in off-campus city centre accommodation, meaning there are lots of first year students already in the accommodation to socialise with. Finally, the accommodation location itself is very social. There is a huge amount that goes on in the city centre over evenings/weekends, and you'd 'already be there' given the location of the accommodation.

Hope this helps and please do ask if you have any further questions.

Hiya, I just had a question about eat and drink credit. I believe I’m applying for accommodation with Eat and Drink credit but I am highly unlikely to spend it all each week (it’s a £50 credit one). Will I get this back at the end of the week/term or even ever if I still have some left at the end of university?
Hi
I’m currently trying to decide whether to go for quiet/alcohol free accommodation. I don’t drink or go out to clubs/pubs as I have an anxiety disorder and these can induce panic attacks. However, I would still like a close group of friends I can go out for meals with or spend time with as I am still social, rather than feeling isolated, which I’d be worried about if applying for quiet accommodation. Can anyone offer some advice?
