Hi!
I'm unsure as to why they just put "wrong total" here. I would have said that since the number of LAs is large, there is only a small change in the mean.

I guess they want a specific thing thats wrong with it, rather than just a vague "its close".
Here, Im presuming the "wrong total" refers to the total number of LAs, rather than any other form of total (sum, ...). This is the interpretation they use in b) as the total sum is correct (the dash should be zero), but they've divided by 347 rather then 348, so the answer is too large, i.e. adding an extra 0 data point into the mean calculation would reduce the estimated mean slightly.
