Special Consideration...

Hello everyone!

Due to testing positive for Covid, I missed one of my GCSE exams.

At the time, I let my school know and was told that a special consideration request would be lodged with the exam board. But, so far, I have heard nothing back from school.

I'm not really sure what to do at this point other than wait until next week to see if special consideration was given. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Thank you for the reply.

I emailed the school twice last week, and I have heard nothing so far.

Would it be worth contacting the exam board?

Don't contact the board they will only deal with your school. How many papers did you do?

For history, I completed 1 paper; missed the other. Both worth 50%.

I sat all papers for other subjects.

You'll get an estimated grade based on the mark on the paper you did do and a mark for the other [missed] paper calculated from those who got a similar mark on the paper you did. Just wait to see if you get a grade and chase afterwards. Your exams officer might be in school today so you could e-mail them to check the form went it.
