Uni Choices UOM/Manchester Met

I’ve been offered a place at both UOM and Manchester met for adult nursing and need help deciding between the two!

If you are either a current student or are in a similar situation any advice would be greatly appreciated!

How did you decide between the two unis?

Was the uni you chose the right choice?

What are the placements/teaching/accommodation/vibes like?

What one thing made you choose one uni over the other?

What are the clinical skills labs and practicals like?

Is there any red flags or really good things I should know to help me make my decision?

Hi, this is probably not relevant but I completed my BA and PGCE with UoM. They’re very academic and sometimes this can be very stressful. While I was there, I spoke to students at MMU who found it a lot less pressurising.

I’ve applied through clearing to Adult Nursing with MMU as I’ve heard they’re really good in all areas. Personally, I wouldn’t want to go back to UoM. I enjoyed my time there, but it was tough!
