voice your arguement

should animals(such as rats or rabbits) be used for researches in scientific experiments? why/why not
what are the drawbacks of your argument?
is there any alternative method to substitute them in research?
Is this for a piece of homework/coursework?

You may find these links a starting point for why animals are used in research, and how their welfare is ensured:
- https://med.stanford.edu/animalresearch/why-animal-research.html
- https://www.understandinganimalresearch.org.uk/application/files/5916/5226/6815/Why_are_animals_used_in_scientific_research.pdf

The RSPCA also have a great page listing alternatives to animals in research:
(Organ-on-a-chip is perhaps the most recent advancement, and one of the more exciting to me)

Hopefully this helps - but if you need anymore help, I'm happy to try

Hey,
Our year group went on a trip to UCL ,where we had a session on cell and developmental biology.
The link below isn't about the commonly used rats or mice for monoclonal antibodies, but ZebraFish,
(We share more than 70% of DNA with Zebra Fish.)
http://zebrafishucl.org/

UCL has many research groups ,that use zebra fish to research social behviour to embryonic development.
