The ratio of carbon dioxide to water is worked out to be:
0.0675 mol : 0.090 mol

and as water contains two hydrogen atoms, the ratio of carbon to hydrogen must be:
0.0675 mol : 0.180 mol

To make this into an integral ratio, divide through by the smaller of the two numbers:
1 mol : 0.180/0.0675 mol = 1.00 carbon : 2.67 hydrogen

To remove the fraction (which is equal to 2/3) multiply both through by 3

3 Carbon : 8 Hydrogen
