I did my SCITT course and ended up working at one of my placement schools! They had a job vacancy which I applied & interviewed for, and I think it helped they had observed me in lessons too.
It's not unheard of to be taken on once you've finished your SCITT course, but it might be an idea to ask if they know of any potential or upcoming vacancies (e.g. maternity cover) and express your interest in working with them
