Self-Studying Further Mechanics?

So I'm a Year 12 student taking Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths. I'm planning on doing Natural Sciences at university, but have realised I might want to do physics as one of the options.

I know this wouldn't be the same for the rest of my choices, but for Cambridge you can take the Physics part of the NatSci course with Maths and Further Maths, as long as you do the mechanics module. The problem is we don't at my college

Does anyone learning Mechanics as part of FM think it would be possible to self-study? I would study the first year content over the summer, and then learn the second year stuff while I'm missing either stats or mechanic.

Very strange that they don't offer Mechanics - it's the most popular at my school.
