Pen for A level exams?

stupid question - but I've seen people stressing about the type of pen they used in exams all over reddit and apparently gel pen ink disappears after your paper is scanned in? Is this true?? Can I still use say uniball eye black ink pens (these aren't gel but just want to make sure) or can you only use biros?

I'd say ballpoint pens are the safest to go with. I don't know about ink pens tho, check with your teachers on that one

The most important thing is that they have to be black ink.
