The course sounds like a good preparation course for a graduate role in the automotive industry if coupled to a suitable Bachelors degree.

Having looked at the modules online their does seem to be some obvious holes that would mean you would still have a lot of learning even if you moved into Powertrain in industry, although this is pretty normal.

Id also say having an appreciation (from a technical perspective) for the legacy technologies is still important if you want to work in Powertrain in the UK.
