Revision for English

I have 5 English poems which I have annotated and in my exam, one of them will be chosen and I have to write an essay on it. Should I write 5 essays and memorise them as part of my revision or is there a more effective technique to revise for essays. Thanks

personally i can never memorise whole essays, it just doesn't work. instead, if you know what's going to come up, plan out your paragraphs/individual essay points and memorise the first sentence of each paragraph - this works a lot better for me. hope this helps :smile:
