How difficult is it to get a landlord to agree to pets
This is out of curiosity. Looked up our tenancy agreement and it said that we would need written permission by the landlord. Just wondering how common it is that landlords agree for a bunch of students to have a cat? Also what would happen in this process?
Pretty uncommon I would wager. Students aren't considered the most reliable of tenants even without pets...

Very difficult. Pets are potentially messy and can cause damage which the landlord will probably try to avoid.
You may get away with like a hamster of you ask though, but you won't have a pack of dogs agreed.
