Hii, I'm just finish yr10 and I was doing foundation Tiers. During the 2nd yr10 mocks I ask my teacher if I can do a higher Tier Maths exam, she said yes, I did the exams and I got a grade 7, but I had to study very hard as some of the topics where not cover in the Foundation. Going to yr11 I'm moving tho Higher, do you think it worth it
Yes I think it is worth it as you've proven that you can get a 7 in higher which is a good grade and better than even 100% in foundation. You'll have to work hard obviously but I think that it is totally worth it
Great job for reaching that far, keep going, it's defo worth it. If you are struggling with maths topics, look at gcse maths tutor (they have a website too, with free downloadable questions + answers) and maths genie - these two resources helped me a lot.

Thank you. It the holiday right now, but when I start I'm planning on working hard for math because I need a grade 5 in math to be able to do my A - level subjects biology and Psychology
OK so pick the AQA resources. One tip I have is not to do the multiple choice questions first - I've found students tend to fall into the 'traps' if they do them first. Answer a few other questions and come back to them

100% you should switch. After studying foundation for a year, if you are able to study hard for a mock and get a 7 in higher then that’s very impressive. If you continue to study hard next year then who knows you could even get a 9.
