Great question! In simple words Data science is a field where we use information (data) to understand things better and make smart decisions. We collect and analyze data using computer programs to find patterns and make predictions. It helps us solve problems and improve various areas like business, healthcare, or technology.
So Data scientists do things like data collection, Data Cleaning and Preprocessing, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Data Visualisation etc.
In University, they teach data science by teaching students math, computer skills, and ways to use data to answer questions. They also show how to use tools and programming languages to work with data and how to present the results in a useful way. Students may work on real projects to gain hands-on experience, and some may even get a chance to work with companies to see how data science is used in the real world.
