It's equivalent to a grade 5. Letter grades no longer exist for domestic GCSEs.

It is usually seen as a high C, a 6 is about a B, a 7 is about an A, an 8 is about an A* and a 9 is higher than an A*, it doesn't really matter though as it has been five years since the new system was introduced to most GCSEs
