It is very unlikely that any places will open up, this has only happened a couple of times in the past and in the event of students missing their grades, historically some vet schools have been lenient and accepted near-misses anyway, rather than having to scrabble to arrange interviews/take a gamble on someone they've not interviewed
By all means check back again tomorrow but I wouldn't be especially optimistic about gaining entry to the course via this route. You're likely better off preparing an application to apply for 2024 entry if you're certain that veterinary is what you wish to pursue.
For clearing courses, do you have to meet the entry requirements to call up the university? Say the course was A*AA but you got A*AB, could you still call up the university that has listed for clearing?

You can still give it a try, it may be unlikely if the course is competitive however. It's always worth calling up, but as mentioned above make sure to have plans in place as a backup, such as taking a gap year and reapplying
