Nutrition scientist vs dietetics

Hiya, I’m going to be studying nutrition BSc (Hons) at Nottingham university in September, I’ve recently been thinking about what I should do for postgrad whether I should go via the dietetics route (studying at either Kings or UCL) or going through the research route and doing a PHD in health research (at UCL or Kings), becoming a nutrition scientist. I know that both fields make pretty decent money, however, I just want to get insight from others about both career paths and what you lot think of them.
