what book to read for maths and economics joint degree

im applying to LSE and ucl and want one good practical book relating to both maths and economics. I was going to get a book on game theory but apparently its very unoriginal in personal statements so is there any others which are more unique?

Game theory does get mentioned a lot when I read economics PSs.
Go to a library, find where the books on game theory are and then look on the shelves above and below that one - pick a title that looks interesting and start there. :smile:
