Can anyone tell me if I can get into a level 3 apprenticeship in IT or auto mechanics without a gcse English 4.

And when should I start applying if I want to start my apprenticeship by October?

Short answer: no. Most require level 2 english and maths (means passing the GCSE’s, so need at least a 4 in english). Unless you submit your special circumstances to the sixth form you are applying to

Normally apprenticeships require a level 2 in English and Maths. However, some companies might let you retake English alongside your apprenticeship. Either way, you would need to be able to achieve a 4.
