Hi i was wondering how is this block in the forge and can someone tell me how the forge is in general ( a student that has lived there) and if the people r nice and friendy

Hey there!

Whilst I've never lived at the Forge, I've visited there many times and have friends who have stayed there. It's just been taken over by a new letting agent called Homes for Students who are really friendly and always planning events for students to socialise and meet each other. The rooms itself are your standard accommodation sized rooms and the kitchens are pretty much set up to feel quite homely compared to other accommodations I've visited. I've stayed in accommodations where the kitchen is on the complete other side of the room to the seating area so it didn't feel very homely.

The Forge is also one of the most social accommodations and is a great place for meeting new people. Everyone always says how there's always pres and parties going on there and neighbours socialise with each other.

i was their last yr gonna be there this year too its alright in my opinion a lot of partying s if ur looking for that its nice n the block dont rlly matter all the blocks r in the same spot, staff r nice and there 24/7 like literally got back after a late night at 4am and the staff were still there

Hi thanks for the reply, i don’t rlly party or drink or anything as it’s against my religion! but what do u think of the classic studios there, do u know anyone if u can ask if they’re worth it and good? as it’s quite cheaper than most accom of sheffield.

don't know much about the studios but I'm gna take a guess are u Muslim? if yes then I'd join the Islamic society not many Muslims in halls thats one thing I struggled with too. so it's kinda a pain to find people with similar interests who aren't drinking partying or smoking
