Is angel cake vegetarian?

I have found stuff saying it's not vegan because it has eggs but nothing about whether it is vegetarian (we can have eggs btw)

It’s made of angels so no

Just kidding, the only thing you might want to check is the food colouring sometimes contains something like cochineal which is not vegetarian. But otherwise the ingredients are vegetarian

Vegetarian yes, but not vegan: eggs and cream counts to the ingridients. And strictly speaking eggs are animal products too. No food for you, sorry.

Some angel cakes are vegetarian.
It depends on the recipe.
Angel cake is vegetarian if it does not include any ingredients containing meat, animal bone or insect blood.
If an angel cake includes E542, E120 or E904 it's not suitable for strict vegetarians.

I doubt that there is a cake that really contains these ingredients. I would not call it a cake then.
