Help with year 12 choices

I want to do a extended diploma in appiled science btec. Also with the choice to do 1 A-level with this btec.
I want to study dental hygiene-dental therapy in the future.
But I don't know if I should pick Boiology or chemistry as a A-level that goes best with what I want to study.
Also do you think I'll be accepted with just these qualifications alone?
I thought after Sixth form, I could do a course for dental nursing for experience.
As dental hygiene and therapy is quite competitive.
Do you think this is to much alone? For dental hygiene and therapy.

I'll address this question first.

To become a dental hygienist or therapist, you need a degree approved by the GDC (see: https://www.gdc-uk.org/education-cpd/quality-assurance/recent-inspections/dental-therapy-and-dental-hygiene). For the sources of this information, see:

Through the list of approved degrees...
Bangor: no further A Levels needed
Cardiff: BTEC is accepted, but did not include much detail. Biology A Level is preferred.
Eastman: no further A Levels needed
Glasgow Caledonian: cannot see information (in clearing)
King's College Hospital: cannot find course
KCL: no further A Levels needed
Newcastle: Diploma not found, but BTEC not accepted for BSc
QMUL: not accepted
Teeside: no further A Levels required
Birmingham: no further A Levels required
Bristol: no fruther A Levels required; cannot find the course information for the diplomas
UCLAN: no further A Levels required
Dundeee: no further A Levels needed
Edinburgh: no information on entry requirements found
Essex: foundation degree only, no further A Levels required
Leeds: no further A Levels required
Liverpool: not accepted
Manchester: not accepted
Plymouth: no further A Levels required
Portsmouth: no further A Levels required
Sheffiled: national diplomas accepted
Highlands: not specified, but can apply on a case by case basis

pick Boiology or chemistry as a A-level that goes best with what I want to study?
From the above, the A Level requirements tend to ask for Biology more than Chemistry. Should you do an A Level, it's probably a good idea to have Biology as a back up, just in case.

Also do you think I'll be accepted with just these qualifications alone?
Your BTEC alone should be enough, but it's ideal if you get relevant experience if it's that competitive.

Having said that, I know little about the competition for dental hygienist and dental therapy degrees, so you're better off asking someone who has more experience.
