Arden university

Hey, what are your thoughts about Arden university? I want to study criminology and phycology and I've read many reviews but I'm still not sure about how legit the university is. It's either the Arden or the lsbu for me but in order to go to London I have to travel 2,5 hours by train so Arden works better for me. Are Arden degrees Recognised? And about the distance learning, am I going to make friends through that? Socialising is very important for me.

Yeah, they are Ok, only reason I did not go with Arden is that you cannot get a student loan for them if you live in Scotland.

Hello! I did my MSc Psychology at Arden University and I had a great time. For an unbiased view of any institution check out their report with the QAA (a bit like Ofsted for Universities) and also their TEF report - both readily available online.

Courses at Arden are 'recognised', my Psychology masters for instance was validated by the British Psychological Society.

It is worth taking time to decide to find the right University for you. I was impressed with their Virtual Learning Environment which is the best I have seen (and I have worked in education myself for over 10 years). It was the mixture of options for studying which lured me in, I had the choice of blended learning at a few sites like Manchester, Leeds, London and Birmingham or doing the course 100% online - I did the latter as I work full time.

Another good sign of quality is the fact that they are recognised as a provider by the student loan company, if you are ever in doubt about a course you see online you can always speak to Ofqual about it
