Hi Nat, I studied at Arden and I had a great time. What subject are you studying? When I did my MSc there was an opportunity to work on a project with other students quite early on (although I believe some Universities slimmed this down during the Covid pandemic due to social distancing concerns). I talked to other learners in the online lectures, and made friends via comments on the lecture videos and we started talking outside of sessions. One of my tutors, I think it was Holly (?), had a space where learners could chat and share things on her part of the VLE (virtual learning environment), it was really influential on my teaching and I now do something similar. Perhaps recommend this in the end of unit feedback?

I am looking into Arden for Data Science MSc, and have a similar question, but more focused on whether the platform allows to form networks (as in social networks) for future work or collaboration purposes.

Hello! I studied at Arden, I struggle with the technical names for things but I can give you an overview. The Virtual Learning Environment allows you to interact with the tutor and other learners during the online sessions, a lot of people in my subject area applied their life experiences to the topic (Psychology). At least one of the assignments had an option to work with other students on a project - I can't say precisely how many it would be now as this was during Covid so some of the assessment methods changed.
The VLE was really good, you could also email tutors and there was brilliant access to journals
