Phd loan
An international student who arrived in the UK in January 2022 to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree. He successfully completed the MSc program in January 2023 and subsequently secured employment with a company that sponsors his visa.He is now interested in pursuing a PhD, and I would like to know when he will become eligible to apply for a PhD loan.
PhD candidates are researchers, and most universities treat PhD as a job. Which means that you will be paid to do a PhD not the other way round. In my opinion, look for fully-funded studentships advertised on sites such findaphd . They cover the international tuition fee and also pay a standard stipend for your other expenses (accommodation, food etc). You do not need to get a financial loan for your PhD.
