Postgraduate Doctoral Loan payments spread over 4-years for 3-year degree

Hi,

I have recently successfully applied for a Postgraduate Doctoral Loan. When I applied using the Doctoral Loan form, I selected the option under 'Course Duration' that I expect my course to take 3-years.

However, when I view my payment schedule online, my payments are spread over 4-years. My PhD will be from Jan 2024 to Jan 2027. The payment schedule has my last payment as Sept 2027. This is not needed. I would prefer it if my payments were condensed into the 3-years my PhD will take. Money is tight for me so I need the maximum amount loan each year, not spread over an extra year where I won't be studying or paying course fees.

Is it possible to change how my loan is allocated so that it is spread over 3-years, not 4?

Kind regards,
Luke
