Degree apprenticeships and uni projects

I am wanting to apply for a degree apprenticeship in engineering next year. In engineering projects and group work is a big part of the degree. I was wondering how I would manage to do projects (possibly with other uni students) whilst in full time employment?

As a degree apprentice, I can tell you first hand how this works:

The projects you have to do for university are work-based projects. Aka the full time job doesn't get in the way of completing them because it's an integral part of the project itself. So whatever your apprentice duties are, you pick a project at work that meets the uni requirements, complete the project at work, do the write up and submit to uni.
